Company Biography.

Moving from a twenty year career as an information specialist , Jim Rowlands, established Inflight in 1992. Initially, both design and manufacture concentrated smaller steerable parafoils, but the company soon grew into one of the well known suppliers of large display kites - which were regularly seen at most large international kite festivals - UK, Europe, USA, Middle East and Far East.

In 2000, a time when almost all world wide manufacture of kites had moved to China, with a very obvious affect of prices, we were obliged to take a new direction . Rather close down, as many of our contemporaries had done, the winter months were spent seeking how we could use design and manufacturing skills and facilities to pursue new markets - hence our rebranding as Skynasoars. The feather flags, and inflatable sculpures, products we had been manufacturing since 1994 stayed with us., but kite manufacture ceased, and many of our designs were licenced to companies in USA.

Evolving out of the kite industry, armed with research skills, knowledge of aerodynamics, familiarity with design and construction techniques using lighweight fabrics, carbon and GRP, we have been able to bring a new approach, to what was a very traditional approach to flag and windsock design.

New designs support poles and outdoor mountings were introduced in 2005, providing lighter weight, greater portability and above all, a sense of style, lacking in many other previous designs. Spring 2006 saw the introduction of the Parabola which has proved a phonomenal success with sales in the 100's . Recent innovations have been the enlargement of our range of portable flag shapes, beyond the archetypal feather - to include the cusp, our own" feather" shape, a range of speciallty designed indoor flags
