Feather Banner and Flag Shapes and Sizes

These styles are lighweight, extremely portable, relatively inexpensive, making them ideal for both outdoor and indoor displays, festivals and trade shows. Designed to be supported by a single, usually tapered, flexible pole, with a steel stake, either fitted into a base or knocked into soft ground .

 

Wind Blades and Cusps

Wind Blade (left)

Like the name suggests , shaped like a blade or knife, square at the bottom, straight trailing edge, the other forming a taper eventually bending in tight curve at the tip. The wind blade style is the most popular, able to accomodate text and complex graphics; also the most economic, since the long narrow shape makes more efficient use of the fabric width.Suitable for both indoor and outdoor display

Cusp (right)

Where the blade is also required to indicate wind direction, as with sports such as paragliding, sky diving, or kite flying the top point features a cusp. Cusps are usually custom made to specification.

Feather and Sail Banners

The Sail Banner is easily recognised by the pointed tip and fluted lower edge. Hangs well on the pole even in the lowest windspeeds. This style is sometimes referred to as a Beach Banner since it is most often preferred for beach events.

Feather (right)

The Feather is similar at the tip, bit with a convex curve to the base. Both are able to accommodate complex graphics and logos, and can work well, but require care during design.

This design shape was originally introduced for indoor winter shows, exhibitions, or any location having low ceilings or restrictions on height, but has now proved the most popular for both indoor and outdoor applications. Flag Sizes : 1.95m: 3m.: Pole, banner and ground spike in single carry bag.

To compliment our range of imported Flying Banners, we have introduced the new Java. Spring tension in the pole assures the trailing edge is held taut, reducing flapping and improve aerodynamics. Nimbus, Enigma and Sola

These design shapes have been on our drawing board for some years, but only recently come to fruition following the successful design and manufacture of support poles. We hope they will prove as popular as our others. Suitable for indoor or outdoor use.

Supported by a vertical fibreglass pole, fixed horizontal sidearm, requiring a rotation unit - either spike or base. Flag size 2.4 m and 3.5 m. Pole, banner and spike in single carry bag

All our mounting accessories are custom made to our specification : High quality durable carbon /glass fibre poles, steel ground stakes for grass, sand and snow, outdoor / indoor bases and drive on stands.

Whether digital or screen printed, inks are applied to one side. The graphic is right reading to one side only : the reverse side is a mirror image of the front. Double sided printing - two layers = right reading both sides, but at extra cost and limited to smaller sizes.

For printing of these banners style offer three standard qualities of fabric : All are available with flame retardent coatings for indoor use.

  • Flag

    :110 gm : A lighter weight fabric, printed direct to fabric, capable of producing rich saturated colours, with almost 100% print though to rear. For both digital and screen printing.

  • Satin

    :220gm Printed direct to fabric, saturated colours but to one side only with minimal print through. Sheen finish to one side only

  • Display

    : 220 gm printed direct to fabric, saturated colours to one side only: minimal print through to rear: Matt finish to both sides
